Scientific Reports: Plasmonic nanomeshes and their role in polymer solar cells
15. February 2017
The pro's and con's of plasmonic nanostructures for efficiency enhancement in solar cells is still controversially debated. In a joint effort within the SFB 840 framework, Christian was able to indeed show a plasmonic nanocavity effect to contribute to the EQE. Nevertheless, parasitic absorption losses in the dominant absorption range of the respective polymer solar cell counteracts this enhancement.
Great collaborative work!
