The power of interfacial self-assembly has been demonstrated by a range of publications throughout the last years. A collaboration with Matthias Karg and his group has put this method to a new level. In a publication, which appeared today in Advanced Materials, we were able to demonstrate a time-dependent control of the interparticle spacing based on Ag-core/PNIPAM-shell colloids. This reflects directly in a strong coupling between the plasmonic entities at large separation distances.
