Thermal transport in hollow silica spheres published in Nanoscale
15. Mai 2015
Our first piece of work on thermal transport in nano- and mesostructured materials has been published in Nanoscale. Pia investigated the influence of the silica microstructure as well as the interfacial condensation between hollow spheres on the thermal conductivity. Using a wide range of analytical methods in cooperation with the colleagues from Inorganic Chemistry III and highly monodisperse colloidal particles, she was able to differentiate between thermal transport through and across the silica shell.
