High strain rate deformation of layered nanocomposites in Nature Communications

Together with colleagues from MIT and Rice University, we developed a unique method to test nanostructured materials at very high strain rate conditions. This is achieved by micron sized silica beads, which are shot with supersound velocities onto nanostructured specimen. Our first study is now published in Nature Communiations.
